2001

  • Post Office Garden re-established
  • Community-wide mail survey
  • Garden planted at gazebo in Veteran’s Park

2002

  • Provided seed monies for Trafford Beautification Club
  • Creation of TECDC five-year plan

  • Bridge Banners fundraiser
  • Donated bike rack to Westmoreland Heritage Trail for use at B-Y Park

2019

  • Held Night at the Races in cooperation with the Veterans Park Committee
  • Donated $1,000 to Redevelopment Authority to tackle blight on Stewart Street.

2023–Present: Reorganization, Reboot, and New Initiatives

2023: The Relaunch

  • Reorganized and Rebooted (little activity since 2020 due to the Pandemic).
  • Recruited 15 new volunteers.
  • Launched TECDC Facebook page.
  • Community Light-up Night.
  • Digital Sign ad fundraising.
  • Established partnership with GO Laurel Highlands.
  • Westmoreland Heritage Trail Membership.

2024

  • Community Light-up Night.
  • Holiday Market in cooperation with the American Legion Post 331 Auxiliary.
  • Bridge Banners fundraiser.
  • Chili Cookoff.
  • Community Yard Sale.
  • Launched our website YourTrafford.org.
  • Digital Sign ad fundraising.
  • Partnership with GO Laurel Highlands.
  • Fundraiser for new Weeping Willow tree to replace one felled by a tornado.
  • Westmoreland Heritage Trail Membership.

2025 (Planned & In Progress)

  • Community Light-up Night (Dec 6, 2025).
  • Holiday Market in cooperation with the American Legion Post 331 Auxiliary.
  • Sponsored the free “Trafford Digital Buzz!” in-person online marketing seminar.
  • Business Holiday Decorating Contest.
  • Touch a Truck & Flea Market in cooperation with the American Legion Post 331 Auxiliary.
  • Re-established the “Trafford Beautification Club” as the official subcommittee “Trafford Beautification Team” and provided seed money.
    • Trafford Beautification Team “Seeds with Kids” event at Trafford Elementary School.
    • Trafford Beautification Team installed new “Triangle Garden” at B-Y Park.
    • Trafford Beautification Team maintained and revamped 5 gardens around town.
  • Large Welcome to Trafford Billboard Design on Cavitt & 4th.
  • Billboard space fundraiser.
  • 1st Annual Trafford Oktoberfest.
